43 · Voigt 149When all night long [sleep] holds their [eyes].
Ὄτα πάννυχος ἄσφι κατάγρει.
Quoted by Apollonius to show the Aeolic form of σφί. Bergk thinks that Sappho may have written—
ὄππατ’ [ἄωρος],
ὄτα πάννυχος ἄσφι κατάγρει,
therefore I translate it so.
